Don't miss Misha Lingle's live performance during LOAF on Saturday, May 11 at 4:30 p.m. in downtown Pascagoula, Miss.

Misha Lingle Robledo (“Misha”), a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi, and currently a Nashville recording artist signed to Sully Boy record company, released “Pink Flamingo Morning”, her 5-star, debut solo CD, December 22, 2012. It quickly became a Top Album on iTunes. This elegant, classy album is one Pop/Country album you don’t want to miss. “This is the culmination of a lifelong dream, and I’m so grateful to God,” says Misha, who recalls her very first performance on stage at age 6, where she chose to sing Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly”. “I can remember people asking me if I would be singing ‘You are My Sunshine,’ and being quite surprised at my response!” laughs Misha. “I always liked interpreting big, dramatic songs, even then.”
Her influences also included Olivia Newton-John, Carole King, Gloria Estefan, and Karen Carpenter. She won many talent shows along the Gulf Coast and began cultivating her talent for playing the flute under the direction of Mr. Jerry Ball. Misha moved to Nashville, following graduation from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education (English/Spanish). Her love of entertaining and desire to sing in both languages were most compelling and inspired her to follow her dreams. Despite teaching by day, she quickly won a Tennessee talent search and was discovered by several modeling/talent agencies. She had no trouble picking up work as a vocalist and a model/actress for national print work and commercials. In 2009, she became the female vocalist for the popular Americana group Brother Slade, whose hits and You tube videos include “Tom Petty Song” and “Hard to Handle”. The band leader/producer, Marc Christian, was enamored with Misha’s uniquely smooth, richly textured, clear, strong vocals, comparing her style to” Linda Ronstadt-meets-Sade-meets- Stevie Nicks”, an interesting mix. Together, Christian and Misha collaborated on the deeply introspective songs for this “artsy”, moody, easy-listening CD, also produced by Christian. The album’s 7 strong tracks (no fillers here) include such intriguing songs as “Lipstick” (featuring Misha on flute), “Vaquero Blues” (a Spanish track featuring the renowned flamenco guitarist Rick Del Castillo), “Walk on Glass” a hauntingly beautiful ballad with a cello, and the title track, which is most surprisingly a Southern-style poem Misha wrote in college. “Pink Flamingo Morning”, now available on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby, has quickly become a popular album, receiving 100% 5-star reviews on all sites. Some have noted that her intimate, thoughtful, classic style includes subtle hints of Michael Buble and Eva Cassidy— especially on the 50’s style track “Falling Stars”; but as one reviewer notes, “Misha is the most unique artist I have ever met, and definitely a rising star. Another reviewer says, “Misha sings with both innocence and passion, and her dynamics and vocal control are stunning.” Yet another reviewer urges everyone to add this album to his or her collection, stating that, “If music doesn’t usually move you, this will”. This is one Pop-Country-Meets-Retro album you don’t want to miss.
